If your aim is to be a teacher of yoga who can teach from a place of true understanding and awareness, the Manasa 200-Hour TTC is the course you should seriously consider. The Manasa 200-Hour TTC is conceptualised to guide you in unravelling the latent wisdom in you through the contemplative and practical application of core yoga philosophies. It will also help lift your asana practice to a higher level through detailed teachings of functional anatomy, and empower you with the skills and confidence to teach yoga safely, profoundly and transformatively. Dive into our 3-month Teacher Training Course with Manoj and Sandhya and you’ll find yourself breaking through existing limiting patterns and releasing the joy within. Each week, Manoj will devise a special asana and pranayama home practice sequence which will reflect the subject of study (anatomical or philosophical) of that week. Regular audio and video support, as well as instructional emails will be with TTC students to reinforce Manasa teachings. For those who are not fluent in English, short summations of the TTC Lectures and instructions in vernacular languages (Mandarin, Cantonese & Tamil) can be provided during the group discussion sessions. Attendance at Manasa Yoga workshops conducted during the duration of the TTC is compulsory. Teacher trainees are expected to observe a strict yogic lifestyle designed to improve their will power, self-understanding, and inner purity throughout the duration of the course.

Manasa Yoga is a Yoga Alliance (YA) Registered School (RYS) which provides a 200-hour training and an advanced 300-hour training that meets Yoga Alliance’s standards. Manasa Yoga School offers 500 hours of training in two segments, 200 hours and 300 hours, permitting teachers that graduate from our Teacher Training Courses to become either a RYT 200 or a RYT 500, depending on the level of training completed. Our program director, Manoj Kaimal ERYT500 and co-founder Sandhya Manoj, conduct our Manasa Yoga Teacher Training Courses annually. On the advisory panel of experts for our teacher training courses are of Dr. Rajesh Singh- Orthopaedic Consultant of Sunway Medical, Dr. Ramkumar -Managing Trustee of Punarnava Ayurveda Trust, and Richard Rosen, co-founder of Piedmont Yoga in Oakland, California and writer of three books for Shambhala.
TTC lectures are conducted on Saturdays from 1-7PM, allowing students to easily accommodate career and family needs. Students are required to complete a day-to-day self-practice, as a record of their progress.

Course fees paid are non-refundable and included Unlimited Classes for the first 2 months, starting March 1, 2014.

Manasa Yoga workshops conducted during the duration of the TTC is compulsory.
TTC students are expected to observe a strict yogic lifestyle designed to improve their willpower, self-understanding and inner purity throughout the duration of this course.

Our 200-Hour training program is a 15 week program divided into four modules where in the first twelve weeks, you will be learning the first three modules and in the last three weeks, the fourth and final module. By the end of this program, you will feel confident to take the seat of an authentic yoga teacher. Besides equipping you with the skills and tools to teach from a true place of understanding, this course will also provide you with all the materials and guidance for you to gain to a deeper understanding of yourself, to vastly improve your asana and pranayama/ meditation practice, as well and to live your moments deeply and insightfully, enabling you to recognize yourself as a celebration of the universe.

The Four Modules of the Manasa 200-Hour TTC
Module 1:
– The Philosophy of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras.
– Seeing and Creating contexts from these teachings, which can be applied to the practitioners’ improvement
– 24 Tattvas of Sankhya philosophy
– The Four Samadhis
– Understanding of Hatha Yoga
– In depth anatomy of the lower limbs and pelvis
– Application of anatomical and philosophical principles into different asanas
– Principles of Ayurveda
– Consultation with Ayurvedic physician on personalized Ayurvedic life style and diet.

On the advisory panel of experts for Manasa Yoga’s teacher training courses, we are proud to have Dr Rajesh Singh, Dr Ramkumar and Mr Richard Rosen. Their advisory capacities add value and integrity to our teacher training courses. All three of them will be sharing their insights with Manoj, in Manasa Yoga’s quest to continuously evolve and enhance our teacher training programs, so that it can be of maximum value to our participants. Dr Rajesh will be enhancing our teacher training with the latest in the science of Anatomy, Dr Ramkumar will lend insights on topics of Ayurveda and related life principles and Richard Rosen will look into philosophy and pranayama segments.

Dr. Rajesh Singh: An orthopaedic consultant and associate professor of the Sunway Medical Group, he specializes in upper limb surgery for trauma and reconstruction (arthroplasty & arthroscopy) as well as hand and microsurgery. He is fully registered with the Medical Board in Australia and is consultant to the education faculty of the Medical Protection Society (MPS-UK).

Dr. Ramkumar: Hailing from a family steeped in the traditional practices of Ayurveda, Dr Ramkumar is the Managing Trustee of Punarnava Ayurveda Trust. He leads the team in creating the Ayurveda healing village vaidyagrama in the outskirts of Coimbatore, India. He lectures widely in America, Europe and South-East Asia on different aspects of Ayurveda.

Richard Rosen: Co-founded Piedmont Yoga in Oakland, California in 1987 where he still teaches today, is a writer of three books for Shambhala, The Yoga of Breath: A Step-by-Step Guide to Pranayama (2002), Pranayama: Beyond the Fundamentals (2006), and Original Yoga: Rediscovering Traditional Practices of Hatha Yoga (2012) and has recorded a 7-disc set of instructional CDs for Shambhala titled The Practice of Pranayama: An In-Depth Guide to the Yoga of Breath (2010).
